Worship Service

9:00 AM EDT (May-August) | Main Sanctuary

​​Worship at First English Lutheran Church is an experience of the Biblical Story, a proclamation of the Gospel in today’s world and the celebration of Holy Communion each Sunday.

​​

We worship using a "traditional" Lutheran liturgy /worship in our main Sanctuary with music provided by organ and, depending on the Sunday, a choir or cantor. 

​

The service is intimate, and usually has around 30-40 attendees.

Lutheran liturgy is participatory – all are invited to “enter in,” and we are blessed by many liturgical leaders from our congregation.

Children are always welcome in worship, but sometimes caregivers with children need some other options. You are welcome to leave and re-enter the space as needed.​

After each service, we enjoy fellowship, coffee, and snacks together in our Parish Hall just behind the sanctuary. We hope you will join us!

As we journey together toward the consolidation of our three congregations, we invite you to join us for special Joint Sunday Services shared by First English Lutheran Church, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and Hilltop Lutheran Church of the Ascension. Together we gather for worship, Holy Communion, fellowship, and the strengthening of our shared ministry. All guests and visitors are warmly welcome.

Joint Sunday Services are held on the last Sunday of each month at 10:00 am EDT and are followed by a fellowship and coffee hour. Please see below for upcoming service locations:
